Old-time radio is a lot of fun. You’ll find free, legal old-time radio programs online. The Internet Archive has a large selection of old radio programs such as Sherlock Holmes, Dragnet and World War II news broadcasts.

I've downloaded quite a few of the CBS Radio Mysteries in the past few months. I used to listen to them as a kid when I live in Italy in the 80's.
The Military radio station would play a mystery every night, or maybe it was on the weekends, I can't really remember. But I'd listen to them when I was going to bed.
