Hi just found these forums.
I am starting this thread in sure of my holy grail as a producer.
It seems like i will always have problems with cpu hitting its peak while i use FL studio software.
Ive asked everyone online and it seems nobody knws how to fix my problems.
I use alot of vsts in a project so this eats into alot of my proccesers. I have quadcore.
Also when i first got the new motherboard last year big 12-15 hours projects were around 31% mark now a 5 hour project maxs out and overloads the cpu what is going on did something hurt the processers from heavy cpu use?
Does anyone else on here use a D.A.W that can help me out here??
Thanks in advance

If those temperatures are taken at idle then your system is way too hot. See what you can do to brings them down 30 / 40 degrees. What is your cooling setup?

FL Studio System Requirements

I think you answered your own question. :)
The more VST's you use is going to tax the CPU.

"If your system meets the minimum system requirements then your CPU speed and RAM are the factors that impose limits on the complexity of your projects.

Generally, the faster your CPU is the more instruments you will be able to play simultaneously and/or the more effects you will be able to use. The more RAM (memory) you have the larger and more samples you will be able to load and play back smoothly."

I've used the software and my CPU usage was very low, but then again my processor has 4 cores and 4 virtual cores.
Hyper threaded processors really shine in this area. Your processor may be limited in the number of VST's it can handle.

Arctic Silver heatsink compound will help. It brought the temperature of my Q6600 CPU down substantially.

I run Sonar X1 and have no problems with a Q6600 which is older than the Q processor you have.

I dont knw what my cooling setup is im not that computer savi im just good with software not really the hardware itsself.
Where do i find out how to bring down the temperature? The fan does make alot of noise when i turn on my computer then after awhile it slows down its like the fan goes 90 mph then slowy slows down. Does that mean there is a problem with it?
I would love all the info you coulod dish out how to do this thanks

The motherboard and CPU temperatures are far too high if accurate.

The hard disk temperatures are OK.

Given your level of knowledge, it's probably best that you take the PC to a repair shop and have them examine it.

The "high" temperatures may be erroneous, but you need someone competent to confirm that and possibly replace the fans or heatsink.

Normal temps should be in the 30s for a normal room with a low work load and possibly into the 60s in a warm room under a heavy load.

All fans PWM; speeds at idle: CPU circa 500 rpm; intake circa 600 rpm; exhaust circa 600 rpm; CPU temps 27 idle and 47 C load in a warm room (27 C/81 F) when running Intel Extreme Tuning Utility stress test.
I've found that the various CPU temperature monitoring programs can also vary widely. SPECCY closely agrees with the Intel Desktop Utilities program that came with my Intel Motherboard.

The Intel and SPECCY showed my CPU temps in the low 30's, another showed them around 40 and one had them in the low 50's.
