Hi everyone,

Just wanted to ask if it's possible to remove the Device and Printers pop-up whenever I inserted my Nokia E5-00?

Here is a screenshot of what I mean. Taskbar icon and when it's clicked, this windows opens:

I do not have any use whatsoever with this since I'm using Nokia Suite to manage my device and other applications to sync my media. Hope someone can help me resolve this.

I have absolutely no idea if this will help you or not. I found a similar complaint concerning an HP all in one printer. Every time someone in the office opened the scanning bed or inserted a page in the feeder to be copied, every computer in the office had the HP Device Manager pop up appear on screen. The solution was within the printer's own "Information and Settings" icon. The trick was to uncheck the setting to "Show HP Device Manager when document is..."

When your Nokia is plugged in, see if you have an "Information and Settings" icon or something similar, either in the Nokia Suite or perhaps within the pop up itself (like a "do not show this message again" box.)

Sorry I can't be more help. :(

Thanks for the response.

Well, it does have a "Show Nokia Suite when device is connected option", but that obviously doesn't clear out the problem as I've already done that way before. (Didn't want it to auto open either.)

I think this is a Windows 7 setting as it's detecting it is a MTP device. There are some options like "Display notifications from this device on the Windows taskbar", but disabling it doesn't help either.

Another option which I've set is "When this device connects to this computer = Take no action"

I have searched Google for "disable taskbar mtp windows 7" and nothing comes up.

I've looked through a few more forum threads for similar issues but I'm not finding any solution either. I'll keep checking and post back if I find anything that looks promising.
