As l have just changed to W7, had to of course try out IE9.
So far for me, it's not too bad, but the fonts are really annoying. Or perhaps l should say the size of the fonts!
I've installed the Google Toolbar and everything that l type into it needs a magnifying glass in order to read it. Really difficult to read with impaired vision!
Every alteration available from the toolbars only changes the web pages displayed, but is there a way l can change the size of the toolbars text itself and especially the size of text entered into the Google search box?
Hope this makes sense.

I see from your System specs you are using the wrong resolution for your monitor try setting it to the correct one which is
1680x1050 Acer P4 P224W 22 inch Widescreen Monitor - Silver ET.EP4WE.B05 - Acer Direct
Control Panel > Appearance & Personalization > Display > Adjust Resolution.
Next step would be Display> Make text and other items larger or smaller.
There is also an option in IE9 Open Tools > Internet Options & under the advanced tab look for Accessibility > reset text size to medium for new Windows & tabs.
Depending how bad your eyesight is it might be wise to set your text larger before changing resolution.

Oh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.
First off stve, thanks for the reply.
The good news is that you've have actually looked at my specs, and the bad news is that l missed out on updating the screen res! It is as you say, 1680 x 1050. (l've now upgrade them)
Have already tried what you suggested but it only seems to effect the web page itself, and in IE, the font size of the favorites listed down the left hand side.
It's not too much of a problem and l'll live with it, putting my nose right up to the screen on the odd occassion.
It's just strange that in adding Google search to the toolbar, l'm sure that the text typed in was larger in the XP OS than it is in the W7 OS.
Oh well, such is life! Having upgraded my OS, suppose l'll need to upgrade my glasses as well!!
Thanks

Strange when I make changes to Display> make text smaller or larger it affects everything , you can choose 100%, 125% & 150%.
There is also a custom option that is easy to overlook on the left where you drag on a ruler & can set any percentage.

Hello stve, sorry for the delay in replying.
Yep, you're right (apart from the google problem). Sorry, it must have been me having a senior moment!
Used the custom settings and have now got everything set to how l want.
However in the added google toolbar, whatever l type into the search box, that is what comes out in small letters that need a magnifying glass to read.
Thanks for your help btw.

I installed Google toolbar in IE9 & the text size in the toolbar was larger.
Playing around with custom text sizes in Control Panel > Display.... it seems text in in the toolbar can only go up to about 150% increasing text size to 230% the text in the toolbar was smaller relative to IE9's address field. I tried reinstalling the toolbar but it made no difference.
You could try try Google Toolbar help its an option when you right click the toolbar

My guess is you will have to live with the problem until Google update the toolbar with a fix.
