Hi,

I recently bought Uniblue Powersuite 2012 and System Tweaker 2012, I noticed my antivirus (Trend Micro Titanium Antivirus+) wasn't in the taskbar and it's folder in the start menu was empty so I did a system restore and then everything will just work fine but then I do a registry repair and all this happens again.

Thanks for your help

First thing I would do is uninstall Uniblue Powersuite 2012 and System Tweaker 2012. Windows 7 does not want or need a Tweaker program of any kind. Then restore back to where things worked as they should and be happy. Make sure you update your security programs after you restore to make sure you have the latest updates. If it was my computer I would also run sfc /scannow to see if that now uninstalled programed fooled with Windows 7 file system.

Thanks for your help, but why do I need to uninstall those programs (Uniblue System Tweaker 2012 and Uniblue PowerSuite 2012)?? I suppose because they are only a lie or they aren't neccesary

Many of us on the forums actually do not recommend automated optimization tools for Windows 7. Windows 7 does a much better job of handling its own optimization than its predecessors did. We especially do not recommend registry cleaning as an "optimization" step because automated registry cleaning causes more harm to the registry than it actually repairs.

In the future, if you need help optimizing Windows 7, please post a thread in Performance & Maintenance - Windows 7 Forums or follow the tutorial enclosed in that forum to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...ws-7-a.html?filter[2]=Performance Maintenance.

Basically, automated optimization tools for Windows 7 are a bit of a marketing gimmick and are not really necessary for Windows 7. I have spent ~$200 myself on such tools, and I regret it big time now that I know the truth. :(
