Open Question: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this fi

My pc randomly shuts down and will not reboot. My error code is 0xc0000428 I burnt vista start up disk on a blank cd and tried to boot from last known good configuration. I get the message stating that it was complete but I keep getting the same error and message. Any other options I have or do I have to restore vista and if so how do I go about doing that? Thanks...
