Ok so I decided to wipe my hard drive and start fresh. I had windows 7 ultimate installed on it. I formatted in DOS, everything went smoothly. When I try to install XP I keep getting a blue screen with;

"STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF78DA524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)"

I googled it, but keep getting the run around with most of the websites I find.

Would really appreciate it if someone could help me out.

Thanks

XP doesn't have most modern SATA controller drivers even in the SP3 CD, so they need to be added during install or if you don't have ancient floppy drive/disks, must be slipstreamed into the installer. SATA Drivers - Slipstream into Windows XP CD

FOr this reason more users are vitualizing XP using XP Mode, VIrtual Player, Virtual Box or VMWare freeware.
