iTunes stopped opening after first use of Windows Media Center

The machine I am using is running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
Recently I was attempting to share video with my television through WiFi, and had opened Windows Media Center for the first time accidentally thinking it was Windows Media Player. I went through the setup and then closed the program.
Ever since then, I am unable to open iTunes with this current user account. When I try to run iTunes, I get the error:

"The folder 'iTunes' is on a locked disk, or you don't have write permissions for this folder."

I know that error is all over many forums, and I've gone through most of them, and tried everything that was suggested.
I am the only user on this machine and I am the Administrator. (I did create a new Standard User Account as a test, and iTunes opens with no issues there.)
I can right click and open iTunes using "Run as Administrator."
I have gone through the iTunes folders, my media folders, and everything else I could think of and I am the owner of every one, and all their permissions are set to "Full Control" for every user. I have done the same to my entire User folder. I've deleted my iTunes Library files and attempted to start it without them. I have uninstalled iTunes and re-installed. I turned off the "Control the Media Experience" selection in Windows Media Center. I disabled Windows Media Center. Nothing makes any difference.

Someone has to have had this same issue and found a cure. I'm not the only one who noticed Windows Media Center did some weird stuff to my medial libraries when it ran the first time. It screwed everything up.

Check the properties for your C:// drive itself. Also, do any folders involved show an icon with a lock on it? Check the C drive itself, Program Files -> iTunes & down, Program Files (x86) -> iTunes & down, Program Data -> iTunes & down, and Users -> [name] & down.

WARNING, DO NOT TAKE OWNERSHIP of the C: (Windows 7) drive!!

Have you simply been clicking "continue" in a window similar to this:

Or have you actually gone through the "Take Ownership" procedure? Here's a tutorial for installing a shortcut in the right-click menu:

On the other hand, here's an instant remedy.
The simplest way to fix this, albeit wouldn't find the actual cause, would be to move to the other account. Make it an administrator. Move your data files. Then just delete the original account.
