Solved How To Prevent Theme Change from Activating Windows Sounds

I prefer to have Window sounds turned off. I have several themes and rotate them frequently. Each time I change the theme the sounds (Windows default) get turned back on and I am always having to go into the Windows Sounds dialogue to turn them off (no sounds). Is there something I can do so that changing themes will not turn the sounds on?

if that doesn't help:
Prevent Windows 7 Themes From Changing Sound Themes

Then simply, open Control Panel/Personalization\Sounds - Sounds Tab\Sound Scheme - No Sounds and select Play Windows Startup Sound.

Thnx Infinite - I am seeking a solution that is theme-specific and not global. I apologize for not being more explicit, as muting the system sounds in the speaker mixer would satisfy my need otherwise. This then begs the question : Can i assign specific sound themes to specific Windows themes?

This setting is tied to the theme. If you set the system to theme A which does not have the setting, make the setting and you will get a new theme which you can call A1. Then delete A.
