Windows 7 didn't recognize my 1TB NTFS partition

Hi guys, I've just installed windows 7 32bit RTM, and i was shocked when i found that my 1TB partition is not recognized by windows 7.
In the Disk Management it appears as RAW and is not accessible in my computer, and whenever i click on the disk icon it tells me that it must be formatted!!!
This partition is working perfectly in windows XP.
It is a Western Digital 1TB sata disk (WD10EACS).
It is a really a shame when the 8 years old windows XP works perfectly with it and not windows 7.
Any ideas??

thx for replying sam, the partition is NTFS as said in the thread title.
And i have OTHER NTFS partitions that works totally ok!

So of course the windows can read NTFS volumes, as the system volume must be NTFS in windows 7.
