Hi guys,

I have a homegroup between 2 w7 pcs. It's working just fine over my network but I'm a bit confused about something.

I am storing no data in my w7 'librarys' becsuse my data is on a separate drive and that data is linked to the libraries if that makes sense. Again all working as expected.

Additionally I created a new library called games. It just links to my games folder on e: however when I view my homegroup from another pc, only the default libraries show and not the games library.

Any ideas?
Matt

I built this three years ago. It was very fast at the time. Now it's about average but still runs any game I throw at it at max detail.

Might want to check the sharing settings. There is a share with options. Check who all are allowed to access the library.

P.S. To clear any confusion.
The data which is to be shared is often linked to a library. When you click a folder one option pops up for including that folder in a library.

pcfreak - figured this out now. you had it right - it was the sharing settings.

When you initially set up the homegroup for a PC there are a series of checkboxes for what you want to share (documents, videos, music etc). However this does not cover user defined libraries.

Its as easy as right clicking the user defined library and saying read/write share with homegroup.

Now works - thanks +1 rep :)
