I wanted to change my dynamic disk to a basic disk i read on a site to do it with HXD (Convert Dynamic Disk back to Basic Disk without data loss - Wilders Security Forums).. i did it restarted as it said and when i turned it on it loaded the bootlogo but then a blue screen flased for about half a second then it rebooted again. then it says repair but this is on a netbook and it has no DVD/CD drive my error code is 0xc0000225 HELP! i dont mind if i lose all of my data unless i still get windows 7. as i said i have no dvd/cd drive or a windows disk

The only safe method to do this conversion non-destructively is to use free Partition Wizard bootable CD, in which it is still a free feature only as late as version 4.2 which can be downloaded here: pw422.zip ISO - Windows Live

Burn to CD using ImgBurn or Windows Image Burner, boot and post back a camera snap of the Drive map and listings shown clearly, or type them out: Screen Shots

It's possible the conversion didn't complete, or if it did you can repair or Recovery the installation.

How to convert dynamic disk to basic disk with Partition Wizard?

i cant because when it says repair i press it and it says place in windows setup disk but i dont have a disk and i dont have a cd/dvd drive

i converteed it in a weird way i used a hex editer because a website said to change one value and it sholud work but it didnt and this happend

You can write the Win7 installer for your version to flash stick to boot to try to Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times making sure Win7 partition or it's 100mb Boot partiton (preferred) are still marked Active: Partition - Mark as Active (Method Two) . The latest Win7 installer ISO file is provided in this link which you might also later need to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

You'll have to buy Partition Wizard Pro verison to write to flash stick unless you can get a free program like Win2Flash to write the free version 4.2 to stick: Boot partition manager from USB Flash disk directly to manage disk partition - Partition Wizard Bootable Flash Drive.
Win2Flash USB video

Or perhaps you can borrow a USB disk drive.

would this work by any chance. i get a iso file of windows 7 burn it to a usb boot off that and do a clean install

I gave you that option in my post just above.

First I would try booting it to Repair as given.

Then you can either buy PW Pro version to write to flash stick to see if it can complete conversion (questionable) or try writing it's free ISO provided earlier to stick using Win2Flash.

Or you can clean reinstall following the steps in the tutorial to get a perfect clean reinstall.
If your data is still intact it can be copied out using Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console . If it is still intact it also might mean Win7 is still reparable and/or convertible.

what is the windows 7 installer?

The image file used to burn the Win7 DVD or write it to flash stick. When you boot this stick it offers to Install Now or Repair My Computer. I would try repair options first as shown in my last post. Click to blue links to read and understand tutorials which explain this - asking back any questions you have.

You likely still have a Dynamic disk which needs to be wiped with Diskpart Clean Command first. SSD - HDD Optimize for Windows Reinstallation

Why are you trying to install Win8?

Do you have a Win7 license for that computer? Did it come preinstalled with Win7 or do you have a retail install? The steps for reinstalling Win7 which came preinstalled are here: Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

Are you able to calmly work out a plan with out help and then follow steps given without flipping to randomly install another OS?

the computer was runnig on a duel boot before and i clicked the second operating system and its working fine so im guessing its my windows is currupt so im just goinng to use the other os and stick with it shame thou but nm

Please post back a screenshot of your maximized Disk management drive map with listings so we can see if your configuration will continue working or is still Dynamic. Screen Shots

The legend isn't showing so we can see what type of Disk it is (Dynamic or Basic) for the color border shown. So this doesn't really help.

Can you install PW Home version to that OS to post back a screenshot or try conversion to basic? Here is the download of version 4.2 installed Home version: partition wizard 4.2 free.zip - Windows Live

oh no thats just a partition i called hard disk 2 ages ago there all partions that are oon one disk

ok im now downloading its compatible and it says bad disk

Is there anything in PW Home that will run from the Disk tab when you highlight the disk?

I would wipe the HD from PW CD Disk Tab or using the link I gave you earlier from booted Win7 flashstick, clean reinstall your licensed version of Win7.

Is this preinstalled Win7 or a retail copy you bought?

Is Jolicloud on a different disk?
if so, then here's what you can do:

1. make sure you have a Key for windows 7
2. Download Windows 7 from Digital river, make sure you get the same version as you key, which you said to be Ultimate 32-bit
3. reformat the Windows drive, make sure it's not formatted as a dynamic disk.
4. create a 4gb partition at the end of the disk, make it fat32 and bootable (NTFS may work fine IDK)
5. mount the Windows installer iso in Jolicloud, and copy it's contents to the new partition. A little extra juju may be needed to make it bootable, but I don't know
6. in theory, you should be able to boot from the installer partition.
7. install as normal, selecting the large unallocated space. do NOT delete any partitions yet.
8. once you are in Windows, you should be able to use Disk Management to delete the installer partition and extend the boot partition. Or if you want you can remove the drive letter to hide it, and use a BCD editor to configure it into a permanent recovery partition.

When I did this I was using EFI and could boot the recovery partition directly from the UEFI shell. On older MBR disks the steps are a little more tricky.
