Window 7 harddisk preventing start up need help to repair!!!!

i was updating it while i accidently hit the power source button in the back which i thought no problem rebooting but it suddenly prevent it from starting up so i ran the startup repair and it told me to either contact your system admin or compter manufacturer to determine if you need to repair or replace the disk

here is the error message i just need to know if i have to replace it or i can repair it myself

i did both but the disk scan wont work because i cant get into safe mode or anything when i turn on my pc it tells me to either go to startup repair of start winows normally. I cant start it normally, it just send me back to the startup repair and startup repair cant fix the problem either i was wondering if their a way to delete the whole harddrive or something and start all over or i just jave to bring it to someone to fix it which im trying to stay under budget

it says system repair pending which requies reboot to complete. Restart Windows and run sfc again. Ive done it 5 times and it say the say thing over and over again

If sfc /scannow is finding errors each time you run it, I would continue to run it until it found no errors.

Post a screenshot of what you see on screen after running sfc /scannow.

if its repeating to say restart is their a way i can just restart it thru the command prompt? Ive done restarted it at the system recovery option many times now and it still comes up the samething

If you cannot successfully run a startup repair, the simplest thing to do may be a fresh installation.

Do you have a valid Windows 7 Product Key?

You can't activate any new install without a valid Product Key.

You might be able to fish it out of your system with a program such as Jelly Bean.

If not, you have to buy a new one.

how can i use this program if i cant get past the system recovery option? i cant get into safe mode or anything it stays on the system recovery optiom is their another way i can use this program thru the system recovery option?

Are you referring to Jelly Bean??

If you cannot get into Windows, I don't think you can use it.

But other programs, such as Recover Keys, can supposedly be used from a USB stick. I don't know. I keep track of my keys and have never even used Jelly Bean, let alone Recover Keys.

I think Recover Keys costs money. You can google for it and find it easily. I have no idea if it is worthwhile or will solve any of your problems.

I have re read your initial post and see that your windows directory resides on partition D of your HDD.
Do you remember if it was effectively on D or on C partition?
Maybe it's a default to MBR?
Or from your last line in the report : BAD HDD

I think you likely bricked your HDD. If you have access to another computer you can try putting the drive in it and see if you can reformat it and then do a fresh install.

can i just put in the windows 7 installer cd and just reinstall it without losing any of the files i have on the pc? I found my product key but i lost the cd, could i just borrow someone else cd and still use my same product key or do i have to get a whole new one?

If you install Windows 7 by performing a custom installation and don't format the partition during the installation process, files that were used in your previous version of Windows are stored in the Windows.old folder.

But I wouldn't count on that working. It should, but I'd rather have my own backup.

You might be able to use a borrowed DVD, but you would have to use your own Product Key to activate.

Did you buy that PC or build it? If you bought it, what brand is it?

i rebuilt it myself but it was orginally a IBM, is that gonna be a problem when i put in the dvd?

You can reinstall windows without losing your files , but like ignatzatsonic said, I won't count on it.

Your best bet would be as Britton30 said. To put the hard drive in another computer and copy off the information.

From the command prompt, have you tried running chkdsk /r?
