About an hour ago this was me:
Ok, WTF? The navigation panes have gone away in my folder views and I can’t get it to come back and the option to turn it on in Organize>Layout is gone as well!!!
I am about >this close< to going Linux completely!!!

Then I found and followed your reg-fix(es) here...

Used the First one and after a reboot it gave me the option back!
TY! TY! TY!
