Hi Friends .
I bought a HP laptop(Pavilion dv3) , It has 4 primary partition by default (System , Recovery , C: and another 109MB one) . I need more partition and of course unable to create logical partitions. On the other hand i am not sure to delete any of mentioned partitions . I don't know what to do .
I've created recovery disks , so can i delete recovery partition without emerging any problem no ?
Thanks !

Hello Arminm, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Could you post a screenshot of your Disk Management (diskmgmt.msc) window showing the complete HDD layout to see if anything may stand out?

What happens to prevent you from creating a logical (extended) partition? You might see if the tutorial below may be able to help your shrink the C: drive to create a logical partition with the unallocated space.

Hope this helps for now,
Shawn

If you create the system discs for your system, there should be a utility to do that, then you could delete the Recovery partition.

But in the end, AFTER YOU CREATE THE SYSTEM DISCS, you should wipe the drive and reinstall the OS and programs creating the partition for the OS of X size then afterwards using the left over space to make your Extended partition with Logical drives.
