Hey guys,

After I downloaded some windows 7 updates I now get this error:
http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/4452/98433826.jpg

- When I turn the computer on windows takes a long time to load, about 5 times longer than usual
- My keyboard now does not work (tried others to be sure)
- I have no internet now (this is related to the error, I have read other cases)

The first thing I wanted to try was the winsock reset, but I do not have a keyboard to type with in the command prompt.

I have:
OS: Windows 7 home premium 64bit
MOBO: AsRock z77 Pro4-M

Does the keyboard work before you get into Windows?
Can you navigate the BIOS screens?

Can you get into Safe Mode? If so, does the keyboard work there?

Hey, thanks very much for the response I appreciate it.

Good call - the keyboard does work for me at the immediate startup I was able to tap f8 and select safe mode. But once windows has loaded, the keyboard does not work. I'm in safe mode with command prompt now and the keyboard does not work.

This is a new system (2 days old) and have only accessed the internet and downloads once to install itunes and mozilla firefox. Once those windows 7 updates completed - along came the error and it's respective issues. There were no traces of viruses in my virus scan with 'avira antivir'.

Still getting the error, no keyboard after windows has loaded, no internet, and very slow windows load times.

Since there's no keyboard in Safe Mode, there's not much else that you can do.
I'd suggest formatting the hard drive and trying to install Windows again.

Another suggestion would be trying to run things using only the mouse.
Can you use the mouse to access the On Screen Keyboard?
