saving search results

How can I save the search result in a text file that can be read by Notepad for example?

Copy the address of the link, paste it in Notepad, then name the search link (such as whatever your search was)... save as <name>.txt and save to your desktop or Documents.

You can also save the page you found by right clicking on an empty space and save it to Favorites or choose 'shortcut' to save to your desktop.

When I try to save the results, I only have file type as .search-ms.

I'm going to give an example:
WIN | type in the search box CMD | ENTER
Now click on See more results directly above the search box
Click on File from the top menu bar
Choose Save.
type in the name field cmdresults.TXT (name not important,but that .TXT is)

You can now close the search window.

To view your search results:
WIN | type %userprofile%\Links\cmdresults.txt | ENTER

or

WIN | type %userprofile%\Searches\cmdresults.txt | ENTER

or however you like to get to your Links folder or your Searches folder.

To save search results, I open Wordpad, then click and drag the address in the browser to Wordpad. You can save it with your choice of extensions.

Works for me.
