Can't add gadgets to the desktop

I'm having a problem. I can't add gadgets to the desktop.
I right-click in the desktop and then Gadgets and doesn't open.
I tried in control panel and doesn't open either.
I rebooted and nothing.
What can I do? :confused:

Do you have UAC turned on? It has to be on for the gadgets to open.

Yeah I just found out that.
One of the things that I most hated in windows vista the few days I used was UAC.
But I guess I can live with that =/
