So my pc was working fine until I did a clean install of the latest nvidia beta driver 304.48.

I did a clean install from 301.42 and it did initially crash then I rebooted and tried it again. I have since tried multiple times going back and forth between both drives using revo unintaller pro, and ccleaner to clean things up.

But, now neither driver allows me to activate SLI. The PC just crashes instantly.

The above appears to be an Intel driver for your motherboard; possible Smart Connect?

  • Many of us on the forums actually do not recommend automated optimization tools for Windows 7. Windows 7 does a much better job of handling its own optimization than its predecessors did. We especially do not recommend registry cleaning as an "optimization" step because automated registry cleaning causes more harm to the registry than it actually repairs.

In the future, if you need help optimizing Windows 7, please post a thread in Performance & Maintenance - Windows 7 Forums or follow the tutorial enclosed in that forum to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...ws-7-a.html?filter[2]=Performance Maintenance.

  • We do not recommend automated driver update software. It often finds drivers for devices similar to but not exactly the same as the hardware actually on the system. This can lead to conflicts and blue screen crashes. If you need help finding driver updates for a certain device, please start a thread in Drivers - Windows 7 Forums instead of using software. Driver updates are not always necessary and some updates can actually decrease system stability rather than increase it, so it is usually better not to update unless a device or its driver is causing problems with the system. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Crashes are being caused by your Intel graphics driver: igdkmd64.sys

It may be related to the missing Intel device driver mentioned above. Install all Intel drivers from your motherboard support site, especially the Intel Smart Connect driver ver:2.0.1083.0 listed there. I would also suggest disabling the Intel graphics driver in Device Manager if you are using the NVIDIA graphics cards.

Also, use the following steps for re-installing display card drivers or swapping the drivers/software:
  1. Download the drivers you want for your display card(s)
  2. Click Start Menu
  3. Click Control Panel
  4. Click Uninstall a program
  5. For NVIDIA:
    • Uninstall the NVIDIA Graphics Driver (this should uninstall all NVIDIA software and drivers)
    • Restart your computer
    • Make sure NVIDIA 3D Vision Driver, NVIDIA 3D Vision Video Player, NVIDIA HD Audio Driver, and NVIDIA PhysX System Software are not still listed under Uninstall a program through Control Panel
    • If any remain of the above, uninstall one at a time
    • If asked to restart after uninstalling any of the above, do so, and continue uninstalling any remaining NVIDIA items until all are removed
  6. Restart your computer after uninstalling drivers for all display cards
  7. Install the driver you selected for the display cards once Windows starts

Wow, thank you. I was going nuts I cleaned my pc. I tested both cards, in a different tower. Tried different sli bridges nothing worked. But after I installed that intel driver and then disabled it SLI finally works. Awesome
