Does anyone know of a burning software that I can burn MP3 albums to disc without it placing the files in alphabetical order? Basically I want the tracks to stay in track listing order. It's driving me mental as I have tried around 15 different burning software programs.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

How are the songs named? If it has song title before track number, then you have to manually sort them, either in the program or drag them in one at a time, if you are burning an audio cd.

If you are burning a data cd with a bunch of mp3's, then there is nothing you can do if the track number is after the song title or there is no track number in the file name. You will have to manually add or move the track number in the file name.

Example,
Album title.song title.track number.mp3. This will sort alphabetically by song title.

Album title.track number.song title.mp3. This will sort them by track number

Thanks so.....

Think I got ya... I will have to go in and individually number the tracks in the order I wish them to be burnt, ie although the track is listed as the 1st track, My Lady, I will have to change it to 01. My Lady?

Let me try and see....

No problem.
When I first got an email and dial up account in the mid 90's, zephyr was already taken, so I chose zepher and have been using it spelled like this since.

There are programs that can rename and add number sequences to a bunch of files at one time.
I used one called The Rename back in the day.
It can also be used to remove items from a file name as well.

Thanks again...

Hey Zepher.... Thanks again went and found the Rename program and after a bit of playing about with it got it to do just what I want, which means I don't have to individually number the tracks.

Fabulous! Your help is appreciated! :)
