Solved Does backup normally take 5-9 hours to complete?

Hey,

I was just wondering. If I wanted to do a Backup with a System Image and my OS Data and my Libraries, is it normal for your backup to take 5-9 hours to complete that entirely?

You have an awful lot of data to be backed up.

I backup my OS once a week ( 63 GB) and it takes 30 minutes with verification.

I would move your libraries to another hdd and only keep your OS and programs on your C drive.

You should also add memory.
If you aren't using the Seagate Discwizard, try it - it's free for Seagate users and employs the Acronis program.

I don't use a program. I back it up from my Control Panel - System and Security - Backup and Restore

Uhm, okay, I ran 2 backups, but I'm not sure how to restore the files or what was backed up in the first place. When I click on my OS does it back up everything that's on the drive? Like my Libraries and my OS files?

How long did the backup take?
You can see everything in the backup by going where you put it and opening it.

You can restore it by opening the Discwizard and clicking "restore."

If you have no need to restore at this time, why do it?

I'm sure this program will help you.
I name my backups "Discwizard windows 7 (date) to make it easy to find, but you can name it anything you like.

Here are some pics to show you how to see what is in the backup.

It's good you have a solution. But I would also take a look at the free Macrium Reflect which is independent of the HDD manufacturer.
