Iv been trying to copy cd's from my compurer to play on my highfy. Wat file format should I be using. It was on mp3 to start that never worked. Does anyone no what i need to convert it to
Most burning apps can convert on the fly an mp3 to a cd compatible file.
With whatever app you use, choose Audio CD, when you start your project, then start dragging the files into the apps window in the order you want the songs to be in.
Along with making "Audio" CD's (not MP3 unless your system supports that) you have to be aware of CD burn speed. Older audio CD players will not play (or have skipping problems) audio CD's that are burned at high speeds. Most SATA CD burner drives will only go down to 16X, but use that if you do not have a lower burn speed.
I use 8X as my audio CD burn speed standard, at my recording studio. I have burned hundreds of CD's that musicians sell at their concerts and no one has had a problem with my 8X burned discs (I also use Taiyo Yuden discs).
You can try one of the free CD burner programs, it may work better then WMP.

ImgBurn will convert mp3 files automatically during the burning process.
The files on the burned disc will appear as CDA files when looked at in Windows Explorer.
Go with Taiyo Yuden disks if possible. You will likely have to buy them online---as far as I know Taiyo Yuden does not market CDs under its own name. Some brands such as Fuji are in some cases made by Taiyo Yuden, but it's difficult or impossible to identify which packages contain Taiyo Yuden discs by eyesight in a store.
So buy them online.
