BSOD from NTSOKRNL.EXE, exhausted all efforts... :S

Im having some issues with my machine. Ive reinstalled clean installations of windows 7 ultimate 64, 3 times. Changed video cards, CPU's and even tested the RAM and the ram slots.

I get "dxgmms1.sys" blue screens after gaming for a while, somtimes 6 hours in, somtimes right when the game starts after waking my computer up from sleep. Also, almost every time i wake the machine up from sleeping and try to play a game, like crysis 2, the game is all, super speed. like i walk around like i have speed hacks. And, at the same time if i try to start up a game like.... Red Orchestra 2, i am like i am in Slow MO Mode.... or whatever, the opposite where i run slow and see everyone else running slow.

Sometimes i can run this machine for hours and have no problems. and it never happens when the machine isnt under load. All my temps are fine, no overheating no nothing. Sometimes when its acting up, i get window tearing, when i click and drag them around.

Anyways, ive done alot of testing, reinstalled graphics drivers, unistalled them using driver sweeper in safe mode yada yada...

I downloaded Bluescreenview and its saying that; (Ntfs.sys, dxgmms1.sys, atikmdag.sys, and ntsokrnl.exe) are causing problems. or at least they are highlighted as red.

I used driver verifier, selected them all one by one and the only one that causes bsod on boot is NTSOKRNL.EXE. I restart into windows and i get (BAD_POOL_CALL) blue screen and have to use system restore to get back into windows.

as i said, this is a fresh install of windows, so im pretty lost here. any help would be apreciated.

AMD phenom II 940
EVGA 730a
Corsair XMX2 ddr2 4 gig

Ive turned Driver Verifier off. I ran Sfc Scannow yesterday, and it said it had some errors that it couldnt fix and pointed me to some file directory which lead me to files and stuff i didnt understand, so im running that again to see ifi get the same results, if not/so ill post them afterwards.

According to Windows Update im completely up to date so ill look on windows' website to find SP1, seems awkward that i would be missing that, ran every windows update available.

If you get another error saying they can't be fixed, then run it one more time. And make sure you click on "Search for updates" to the left in the windows update window.(tongue twister almost).

But yes post back results please.

Yeah windows update doesnt want to cooperate. So i went to Microsoft's website and after deciphering the text at the bottom of the page, i learned that windows6.1-KB976932-X86.exe is the file i wanted to download for installing SP1. Scannow has generated the same results as yesterday but im running it again as i type. Sp1 should be downloaded in a few minutes here.

SP1 wont let me install it... Says something about there being files that are needed for installation that do not exist because some part of windows was removed or modified or something or other. going to restart the computer and try to do it on a fresh boot, see what happens. if that doesnt work, i might try doing it in safe mode, if there isnt a reply from you or someone else by then.

here we go.

Nothing from scannow, running checkdisk, on stage 4/5, been at 10 percent since forever but it is making progress through the files.

At this point i almost feel like isntalling XP again... i would do it now but, i only have the "home" version which is 32 bit, and i understand it will only be able to see like 3.6 gigs of ram or something ridiculous like that.

Meh, idk. waiting for this scan disk, seems like my only option is to try and reinstall windows again and see if i can get that SP1 to install. Maybe being impatient and installing non windows programs before fulling updating 7 screwed me before i even started. that or installing the nvidia drivers, then trying to remove them to change to ATI in just two days. :P
