The Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H WB comes with a Wireless Adapter/Bluetooth PCIe card.
Atheros AR5BWB222. Gigabyte calls it a GC-WB300D

The driver is being reported as having an issue by a splat in device manager with the following message:

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52). The Card works fine in another system that also runs Win7 x64 Pro.

I have called Gigabyte, uninstalled and the reverse in safe mode also. Done everything I know. Why it works in one system and not this one is the key. Once it was seen to work on another system Gigabyte tossed me into the ditch.

I have tried drivers from the boxed CD and their site.

The Bluetooth side of the card which uses its own drivers is OK.

Help?

I just built a new system with that motherboard, except it does not have the wireless option (I don't want that as I'm using my system for Recording Studio).

Have you tried just letting Windows find a driver, rather than use Gigabyte? If not give that a try.

Update, some files will have an attribute that it came from another PC. You have to bring up the properties for the file and authorize it for your PC. I ran into that on my old PC with some drivers or an HT Omega "Striker 7.1" Sound card.

Would that be as in Taking ownership. I see "Trusted Installed" has it now. I have choices of Administrators or the user. Both are one in the same on my PC.

I see nothing indicating to bring up the properties for the file and authorize it for my PC.

I don't know if taking ownership is the same thing. I don't have the PC with the Striker 7.1 sound card anymore so I can't say exactly but I remember having to check a box in the properties for one of the .dll's for the program to get around an error that would pop up everytime I booted.

I googling there seems to be an issue with Win7 with this. Like I said, I stick it in another Win7 and it works. Ugh!

Yes, Thanks. Done pretty much everything. Gigabytes last word was to reinstall Win7. Ugh!

I have used some 3rd party utilities that are band-aids but want it right.

Ugh, reinstalling is a hassle. But, sometimes its the only was to permanently fix some problems.
