Solved sporadic BSOD when connecting GPS's on USB 2.0

Hi,

sometimes I get a BSOD when connecting a GPS (brands TomTom and Bruneau). This happens mostly when the GPS is ON and the UI asks if you want to connect to the USB-interface. However there are also other situations for the BSOD and it appears not all the time.
I don't know if the following information is relevant, but my USB-printer/scanner (HP Deskjet PSC2015) does not always work. It seems the interface has blocked the connection. After a reboot of the PC and a power cycle of the printer this situation is mostly gone.

I wonder if you can help me solving this behavior, and would certainly appreciate your help!

Greets,

Welcome
You have given us only one BSOD report. They give only clues so the more the better. Based upon your one and my intuition, it is my feeling that this driver should be updated or the software uninstalled.

Hello,

I had some more crashes and all were related to the mentionned Tdrpm228.sys! So finally I deinstalled Acronis True Image and replaced it by EaseUS Pro. This program is a very good alternative to Acronis and I use it now for a couple of weeks without problems.

The crashes are gone, I learned to know a good help-forum, and more, I learned to do a bit debugging of myself!

Thanks for the help and support
