How do I find zip files in windows explorer?

That’s where I thought they’d be, but download is empty and I evidently don’t know how to search for zip files.

I’ve read the tutorial you suggested and many others on search to no avail. Despite making sure that downloaded files go into download it still continues to be empty in windows explorer despite my testing. I’m very befuddled.

Herm61, are you searching for any specific zip file ? Have you created it or downloaded it ? Downloaded zip files may also have some other extension names like .rar etc.

So, better search the downloads folder itemwise ?

Whenever you download a file or save a file, make it a point to save them always to a known folder. Otherwise you don't remember where you saved it.

Also make the file extensions always visible. This will save you from trouble many times.
