Why am I receiving notifictions for topics with no new updates

For instance, I've received notices yesterday and today for this one: http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/245450-alien-circle-my-desktop.html#post2047119 which has not been updated in the last two days. Happens with many other threads as well like this one: http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/244200-copy-move-stops-100-a-2.html#post2047674

Hey Rich,

Do you have a copy of those emails that you could post back with? It'll help determine if maybe someone posted in the thread, but the post was later moved or removed leaving you thinking this.

I've just had a quick look at the emails and I think I know what has happened, two days ago we had a user post really bad advice in lots of threads over a 20 minute period, I dumped him and cleaned it up.

I recognize a few of the thread titles in your emails, I think vbulletin must of still had them flaged as having new posts and you got the email even though the new posts had been removed.

Odd. Maybe a glitch??

Unless it's what John posted above, I don't see why you would get a reply email from these two below. My guess would be that since you edited your last post in each thread, it counted as a reply and sent you an email notice for it.

I'm still getting 5-10 of these a day. I'll forward them again hoping ya'll can find out what is going on. I can't believe all of them have had posts edited or added then removed.

I've just looked at the ones you have just sent and every one has a reply after your last post so it's working as it should.

The only way to stop getting notices for replies is to unsubscribe from the thread.

I agree they had a reply after my last post, but the reply was always two days ago and I've already received notices about them two days ago.

Why am I getting more replies now, as nothing new has been posted in the last two days.

Ah well, not a big deal, just a small annoyance I can easily live with.
