BSOD at random times (more frequent when playing certain games)

Hey guys i've been experiencing BSOD's pretty much consistently since i bought my computer a few months ago but i thought i'd fixed it a while back but turns out it just happens alot less frequently when playing certain games / idling on desktop / browsing internet.

Games like counter strike source and ARMA 2 (playing the DayZ mod) seem to cause the BSODs pretty regularly (almost every 30 minutes) whereas i can play games like WoW with almost no troubles, until i try to stream that is, then its pretty random: sometimes i can stream for hours but other times it will BSOD with in 5 minutes.

I'm struggling to figure out what is actually causing them because it is so inconsistent, i would greatly appreciate any help you guys can offer, if you need any more information let me know ( i'm kinda new to this sort of thing)

msconfig - boot faster and crash less.

1. Click on the Windows 7 start icon in the bottom left corner of your screen.

2. Type msconfig in the search box and then either press enter on your keyboard or double-click on the msconfig program that appears in the search results.

3. Windows 7 will launch Microsoft's System Configuration Utility. Click on the Startup tab.

4. This takes you to a page with a list of "startup items." Startup items are programs that are automatically loaded every time you turn on your computer. Some startup programs are absolutely necessary, others are simply a waste of RAM.

5. In Windows 7, allmost all of Windows' essential programs are loaded through something called "Windows Services." This means that most of the startup items you see in Windows 7 are completely optional and can be turned off. However, a good rule of thumb is to disable only those programs that you recognize and don't need to have running all the time. When in doubt, leave it on.

6. Click on the OK button.

7. A message will pop up telling you that you must restart your computer before these changes will take effect. Click on "Restart" and your computer will automatically reboot.

8. That's it! Your computer should now boot faster and crash less.

If you ever want to turn on any of the startup items you disabled with msconfig , just run msconfig again.Can you run through this while I have a look:

Uninstall the Asus Overclocking Software (might be giving you the memory corruption)
Uninstall the AVG anti virus and install Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

Update your AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series drivers

Post the dumps if you get any more BSOD

You must be careful. When you use msconfig Serivces. I highly recommend not messing with Windows 7 Services. When you are in Services in the lower left is a box, Hide All Microsoft Services, put a check there. The rest of the services you will only need your active security programs checked. In msconfig Start Up you will only need your mouse, keyboard and security programs checked. You are not disabling the programs or services, you are just telling them not to start at boot. You can still use them when you or Windows needs to.

Just to clarify, we are in the start up tab not services, yes your right Anti Virus should be left on.

Just experienced another BSOD after about 5 minutes of playing ARMA2.

I did the SF diag thing again, gonna upload now with the new dmp in there.

One last thing before we start test the memory, Can you check your bios is set up right, i.e no overclocking, memory timing, cpu speed etc

I'm not familiar with this sort of thing at all. Can you point me in the right direction of a tutorial? I wouldn't know what i was looking at to know if my bios is set up correctly if you get what i mean.

yeah turns out i got 24000 errors before it even reached 40% on the first pass. testing the sticks individually now. Thank you very much for your help!
