I was runnning into some external problems today with internet (a site that was getting overloaded all the time), so I decided to restart my laptop because internet was starting to lag alltogether

When I rebooted, I went to enter my password, and it sent me straight to a temporary profile. I can still access my files, but it's really annoying with all the detours I have to take.

I tried to resolve it following the steps I got from my own 'help' in on my laptop (like that ever works), but I was getting nowhere. Anybody any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Looks very promising, at least it's the message I got!

So for now, thanks and I'll let you know whether the solution worked for me.

Hey Shawn (or anybody who reads this).

I went out and bought an external hard drive yesterday, to back up the files I needed to make those changes. Before I did that though, I decided to clean up that file, and remove all files I didn't need.

So this morning, when I wanted to start, I noticed the problems had disappeared. Is this a problem that could be brought on by a corrupted file?

Thanks again

Lasse

That's great news Lasse. :)

A temporary profile error can be caused by a number of different issues, so it would be hard to say an exact cause. Corrupted files could be one of them.
