I currently have a Radeon HD 4870x2 video card. How does it compare to newer cards? I am considering getting a Radeon HD 7870, but would it be worth the money yet to upgrade? Or should I wait out another generation or two?
Also, I want a card that runs reasonable temps, and I don't care at all about noise levels. Just needs to not overheat under load. I've been debating on getting an nVidia GeForce card this time, as I have had Linux driver problems with my current ATI/AMD card.
