Built my own computer, and for a while it ran fine, but now when I try to play League of Legends it will crash often. Sometimes the game freezes, and no method of input will change the screen until I hold down the power button. In this case my speakers emit a high pitched noise. Other times the screen will go black, and the computer will automatically restart. Other times I will get a blue screen with the error code 0x00007e. Please help this is getting very annoying!

I should note that it is not often that it crashes, sometimes it will happen twice in a short time, sometimes it will take days.

DMP files uploaded as per posting instructions, please inform me if you need anything more, thank you!

Probably hardware. Clean out dust in the system, if you have overclocked stop and revert to original settings. The link contains the most probable solution to your problem. IF the problem cannot be fixed i suggest lowering the vcore a tad tad bit.
Here are stresstests to possibly help rule a few things out. : Stresstests:
Ram : http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html
General hardware: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100352-hardware-stress-test-prime95.html ( (Three pre-set configurations are available: Small FFTs and In-place FFTs, and Blend. Small and In-place modes primarily test the FPU and the caches of the CPU, whereas the Blend mode tests everything, including the memory.)
Graphics: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100356-video-card-stress-test-furmark.html (Do the above Graphics test only with the latest drivers, and then Run it until the temperatures stop increasing; should be less then 10 minutes. If you don't see any crazy glitches or distortion on the screen, The test most likely passed. Take note if the Temperature gets too high, or you see Visual artifact - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia to stop the test.)
Good luck.

I have run all of the stress tests that you recommended with no error, and have yet to get another crash, but one thing that worries me is that the "Usb Controller" driver in device manager shows that it is not up to date, yet I cannot find the proper driver for my motherboard (MSI GD70-890FXA)

I am not able to use the original driver CD that came with the motherboard as my computer does not have a disk drive. I installed windows via USB.

Under device manager right click the unknown usb controller and select properties then details. From there on the dropdown menu select "Device instance path" or it may be " Device instance id" Copy and paste the id to your next post, so we can find this driver.

Thank you I installed the driver and device manager seems happy that it is up to date. I had not run live update but the only "updates" that it found upon scanning were suggested utilities, so I should be fine without installing those right?

Yes your fine without them, and post next bsod dumps if any occur, which they might because normally the original code is hardware based.

Wait a week or two and if no BSOD occur, then please post this thread as solved:)

It appears you were right, the computer crashed twice last night in a rather short period of time. Dump logs are attached, but unless they somehow combine, there only appears to be one dump file from the 23rd. (Well I suppose it was actually this morning, not last night).

Hoping I can nail down the problem! I am going to try re-seating my RAM and cleaning out the DIMM sockets in the meantime.
