My new nVidia GTX 560 Ti card has two additional 6-pin power connectors at the back of the card. nVidia has supplied two connecting cables. Each has a one 6-pin connector & two 4-pin molex connectors to be connected to the power supply.

I understand both 6-pins need to be plugged in but do both 4-pin molex connectors (4 total) need to be plugged in from my power supply? It would seem only one for each 6-pin would be needed but the instructions don't make it clear.

You don't need those adapters as your power supply already has the connectors you need,

Welcome to Seasonic USA

Just use the 6 pin and 6+2 pin (the 2 pin is detachable).

You want both if at all possible. It's to make sure the amperage is moving into the card the way it needs to be.
...also to complete the circuit, I'm assuming you are talking about the type of adapter as shown below?

or what he said above, don't use the adapter unless you have too in the first place.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry I didn't responded sooner. Got it going this morning.

My bad. I dug up my black bag of Seasonic connectors & sure enough there were 2-PCI-e cables. Got everything hooked up & drivers installed. I think it's a matter of tweaking now. Going to mark this solved. So far, so good!
