Changing the Windows 7 Login Screen to an image larger than 256kb?

Sorry, but no. The size must be under 256KB. 
You could use Paint, or some other image program, to resize the image to make it smaller to reduce it's size though.

The "Windows 7 Logon Background Changer" works but since it's limited to 256kb, the image quality is reduced... :/Sorry, but no. The size must be under 256KB.

I've heard of editing a file called Imageres.dll, but I can't find anymore information on it...

Sorry, but even if you edited imageres.dll, it wouldn't work if the image is over 256KB.
