Solved Initial Backup fails Isufficient Storage

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium. On C:\ 83.5 GB space used, on G:\ (external drive) 930 GB free. The initial Windows Backup up failed 'Insufficient Storage', Exception Code 0x8100009.

This also occurred when I tried to backup to D:\ 395 GB free.

Any ideas?

If you have "system" files on any drive besides the C the Win 7 backup will also attempt to back up that drive.
If you had system backup checked when you tried to back up the D, same deal.
If none of that applies, I suggest trying out the free Macrium Reflect
See whs's article and get his Macrium WinPE ISO. It works.
A quick google of that error tells me you may be better off taking that easy path.
