Solved after doing a clean reinstall of windows 7 on my computer..

i am no longer able to connect to the internet via ethernet or wired cable and i have no idea what to do to fix this any help would be appreciated

Did you check in Device Manager to see if you are missing any drivers? Sounds like your networking drivers did NOT get installed -- which puts you in a difficult spot because, without them, you are not going to be able to connect to the Internet to DOWNLOAD drivers!

Is there a CD that came with the PC that you can use to install the missing drivers?

been to the device manager how can u tell if u are missing drivers? i have four thing with a yellow exclamation point next to them?

put in the driver disk i assume? clicked install all drivers hopefully that fixes it.
