I’m facing this problem while playing the audio files(like mp3, wav...etc) with front panel headphones, the sound interrupting continuously (like 10 seconds sound-1 second mute-12 second sound-1 s mute-5 s sound-1 s mute) but there is no problem while playing video files. I opened the mixer from taskbar audio icon and saw the headphones device goes and comes cyclically while playing audio files. Please someone help me……

Please fill in the "My System Specs" so we know what hardware you have.

Does the speakers do the same thing?

Have you tried a different headset?

Do you have the correct sound driver? The PC vendor (or motheboard in the case of a home/custom built system) sound drivers should be used. Non vendor drivers can be a problem in some systems.

The same PC hardware and software (sound drivers) are used for both the audio from a video and the audio from a song file.

If you play a commercial audio CD do you get the same sound cut out? Is the audio cut out always with the same media player?

The Sound Card in the system specs would be your integrated (on the motherboard) sound such as RealTek, IDT, etc.

Yes, i get the same sound cut out from commercial audio CD.

No, I have tried different audio player (like WMP, AIMP3....e.t.c.) and with the same problem.

It is integrated Digital Audio (S/PDIF) (High Defination Audio Device).

The "digital audio" is not used with analog outputs like headphones. Also, i you show the HD Audio Codec instead of what your actual sound module is then that is the first problem. The HD Audio Codec is a generic, basic function, audio driver installed by windows. You should have the correct vendor supplied sound driver as they usually work best.
