HDMI audio doens't work on TV

I tried to attach my tv to an old PC, so I could play movies from my computer. THe video works, but the audio doesn't.
I used a HDMI cable, got realtek driver, enabled and put HDMI as standard output. But no sound. The GPU of this computer is Nvidia gt8400.
If you need any intel I can provide you with most of it.

Yep usually an HDMI input can be used with analogue audio from the PC audio out. Sometimes you may have to tell the TV to use that audio on the HDMI sometimes it auto senses.
On this TV the HDMI # 2 can have anologe audio on it, take a careful look on the back of your TV.

Well my TV has 2 HDMI inputs, but none of them have audio sockets/jacks, however my Tv has a fourth input channel (3 scart, 2 hdmi and this one) It has a couple of jacks, but is shows up as extension 4 on my TV. Would it work if I plug the audio cable from my PC into that one?

Found an English manual online, WOW what a nice little TV. Could have done with one of these 20 years ago. Picks up everything you could throw at it in Europe. Not like the old days.....Still yes it can be done see below from the manual.

30.1 Connecting the PC equipment
Important
For the TV to function as a PC monitor, the following steps must be taken.
1 Connect the DVI output of your computer to the HDMI 1 or HDMI 2
connector of the TV. Use a HDMI to DVI cable if the DVI output is to be connected.
2 Connect the audio cable to the PC’s Audio jack and to the L / R Audio jacks (EXT3) of the TV.
3 Press the key to display Source List and use the Î ï key to select HDMI 1 or HDMI 2.
4 Press the Æ / key to switch to the selected source.

So you need a 3.5mm (PC end) to RCA / Phono RED WHITE Plugs cable. Like this

So I need a HDMI to DVI cable, right? I can't use the HDMI cable from HDMI PC to HDMI Tv? And then just put the audio output on my PC to the audio jack?

No you need an HDMI to HDMI cable unless you want to take DVI from the PC. Does your PC have an HDMI connector? The HDMI to HDMI cables are generally cheaper. If your PC only has a DVI then get a DVI to HDMI cable.
The manual says to use DVI to HDMI as it is only recently that all most all video cards have HDMI as a standard now.
