Error on starup couldn't find damlg.dll

Model101

Hi there,

I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with SP1 running on my pc. I have the full retail version.

I keep getting this error on startup(see attached as well):
There was a problem starting C:\Users\<Username>AppData\Roaming\damlg.dll

The specifed module could not be found

This only came up after i had removed a virus from my pc. I ran CC Cleaner and on startup tab i found the following entry:

Yes HKCU:Run damlg Microsoft Corporation "C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe" "C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\damlg.dll",filter_heuristics

As you can see it seems like it belongs to Microsoft but i did a quick google for damlg.dll and i couldn't find anything?

Could someone advise what i can do next?

Thanks in advance,

Thanks in advance,

Remove the startup entry for "damlg.dll".

1. Start Orb (Window flag on lower left).
2. Type "msconfig" in the caption box (without the quotes).
3. Select "msconfig.exe" from the list.
4. Go to the "StartUp" tab.
5. Scroll the list to the "damlg.dll" entry and uncheck it.
