Hi,
I couldn't find the solution for the following problem:
I have a software which reguires the user profile to have rights to change system time. Software is run as a non-admin user profile so software's installer should give the proper rights. Installer is run as admin. Can this be done and if it can, how it is done?

Thanks in advance,
Antti

Hi Antti,

i didn't get your question correctly.

What i understand is you don't want to give the access to the particular user. is that right?
For this, you can change the priorities for the user account.

Trying to be more clear...
The customer is using the software with an user account that isn't admin. System time changing needs an admin account (by default). I want my software's installer to give the customer's non-admin user account (or group) rights to change system time. Installer will be run by an admin account. I know that it can be done manually, but how about automatically?

Thanks Shawn, I'll give a try to ntrights.exe. Although, it's not suitable if it needs to be unblocked manually before installer is run... We'll see how it goes.
