Backstory: I had installed 2x DDR2 2GB A-Data RAM modules and 2x DDR2 1GB Kingston RAM modules. At the time I was running Windows 7 x86 so I only had 3.6Gb of RAM. Decided to upgrade to Windows 7 x64, to have 6Gb of RAM, but then this problem started. It happens randomly, when I watch a movie, play a game or just browse. Any help is appreciated. I included the file with specs, although I think there is a problem with the minidump on my PC. I have it turned on, but it doesn't appear in the specified folder.

Hello Rev0lver3

For configuring minidumps, follow it: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/174459-dump-files-configure-windows-create-bsod.html
Go to Option Two, Point 2. Download the .reg file and merge it in registry by double clicking it.

Search the .dmp files manually in the default path: C:\Windows\Minidump or %SystemRoot%\Minidump. Post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

Apparently you have no antivirus installed. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
Download and install those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one. Moreover, scan the system for possible virus infection, using the following tools, too.

Your network driver is very old.
Code:
Name [00000007] Atheros L1 Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000Base-T Controller
Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\[COLOR=Red]l160x64.sys[/COLOR] (2.4.7.172, 57.00 KB (58,368 bytes), [COLOR=Red]6/25/2009[/COLOR] 5:14 AM)
update the network driver.
First, download the network card driver from manufactuer's website, ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows (Atheros?????).
Then reinstall the driver as follows:

  1. Click the Start Button, type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotation marks) in the Start Menu Search box and press Enter.
  2. Double click to expand "Network adaptors".
  3. Right click your network card and click Uninstall.
  4. Check "Delete driver software for this device" check box, click OK.
  5. Restart the computer
  6. If windows does not auto configure the appropriate drivers at startup, install the downloaded one manually.
The BIOS is very old, too.
Code:
BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 0304,[COLOR=Red] 3/14/2008[/COLOR]
If possible, update it.

Let us know the results.

I didn't reply immediately, because I was waiting for another BSOD. Yet, it never came. I even ran a stress test last night, and it turned no problems at all.

I installed MSE and MBAM, scanned my PC and found some viruses and malware. After cleaning them everything worked fine again. (I was BSODing once every hour, so I am pretty definite the problem is solved now)

THANK YOU!!!
