Hi everyone!

I have a problem in Windows 7 x64 Ultimate.

I define the toolbars in my taskbar to point to quicklaunch & My Computer, but whenever I restart/shutdown the definitions vanish and I need to redefine which is really annoying.

I downloaded Windows Manager which was recommended here for saving of positions, sizes , etc of folders. It's a great software but I can't seem to use it to save these toolbar definitions, maybe I can and I just don't know how?

Or is there another way maybe in the registry you can recommend upon?

Thanks in advance!

Windows 7 Taskbar Problems

Hi,

I also have the same problems with windows 7 pro and home premium regarding the taskbar resetting after rebooting or resetting explorer.exe. I opened a thread on cnet forums regarding this issue but i've yet to find a solution to this. I have two different computer, a desktop and a laptop and both systems present the same exact problem. Please read my post maybe we will be able to find a solution to this issue.

I have the same problem. I unclicked the 'auto-hide task bar' and the task bar is fine. However, when i unplug the power point and let it run or battery or when the laptop reboots (still on battery mode), the damn settings keeps going back to 'auto-hide task bar'.

It's getting to a point where everytime i reboot on battery or unplug power point to let laptop run on battery, my settings resets.

This also applies to the background of my desk top. If the laptop runs on power plug, it's fine, as soon as i leave it on battery mode, both my task-bar and desktop background resets to factory settings.

Any ideas?
