What Bluetooth dongle works with 64bit Windows 7? Bluetooth version 3.0 would be nice if anyone is making ver. 3.0 yet, I haven't seen any yet.

I plugged in an old dongle (don't know what version but it's old) and the drivers installed for it without problems.

I haven't tested it with anything yet but I'm guessing it should work fine.

I had a similar experience to the above - an old dongle that would only work with the drivers that it was shipped with - installed in Windows & without a pause :D

I have a two year old Dell BT Dongle that came with a Dell 390 XP 64bit machine plugged into the docking station of my Latitude E6500 with Windows 7 (Build 7600) 64bit. Got a Dell wireless mouse run from it; works perfectly - better than on the original machine (no messy free standing BT software to mess with).

:D

Trust silver an gold dongles (the super mini ones) work without installing anything in windows 7.

In Vista I needed to install the drivers for it.

I bought two from Amazon, one very small one and one about one and a half inches long with the name of GT Max on the package and no name on the small one and both installed with bangs in 764 but without bangs in XP32, downloaded Toshiba's drivers for 764 and it works but my Motorola S805 headphone's mic doesn't.

I bought one off eBay for a dollar about 2 years ago and it worked instantly with my devices after plugging it in. Although I did have to download Bluesoleil to get my stereo BT headphones to work properly.

I got the headphones and dongle to work on my 7 PC with Toshiba drivers but decided to give them to my niece with the Compaq Laptop running XP that I am giving her and it didn't work with the bluetooth support supplied with the PC nor the Toshiba drivers but did with the Bluesoleil drivers, However, I don't want to spend twenty dollars. Any ideas?
I really want to get this to her before she pulls out all her hair with anticipation.

Blue Soleil, but it's not free.

Microsoft's is free, but you'll have to search for it.

Widcomm is free.
