Windows 7 rearranging my desktop icons....

despite what microsoft thinks is best for me and how my desktop should look...i'd prefer to keep it the way i want... any way to make this infiltration into my private domain stop please? tried everything that's suggested in google searching for a solution, nothing works.

Hello Kramer, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Your desktop icons would normally be automatically arranged when say explorer is restarted, screen resolution is changed, games (because screen resolution may change), etc.....

If you like, you might give the free programs DeskSave and DesktopOK a try to see if they may help, and which one may work best for you. They save your desktop icons and positions, and lets you quickly restore them if they get changed.

What I do is set my Desktop icons where I want them, rightclick a blank area of the desktop then click Refresh.
