Hey guys! I'm new here as a user, but I've been here several times before.

Alright, I have some questions and maybe some (problems) if possible, would be very glad to solve.
So here goes...

Okay, so I purchased this Acer Aspire V3-571G Laptop not too long ago. The laptop works great.

But there are some things. First of, the laptop came with Dolby Home Theater V4, it's great, I like it. But I
also noticed that there is the Realtek HD Audio Manager. But when I open it up, the tabs like Sound
Effect, Room Correction are missing. And in the Speaker tab the stereo option is greyed out. I know this is because that I'm using the original drivers from Acer and (maybe) the options are used by Dolby Home Theater, right? But the thing is, that I'd like to have the tabs in Realtek HD Audio Manager.
Another thing is, beside the laptop's speakers, it's written ''Dolby Home Theater V4'', and far to the right, it's written Professionally Tuned. This is normal, they put in Dolby Home Theater inside the hardware, right? But do I also have Realtek inside it?
But anyways the drivers im using are the original ones. And btw, if I use older drivers like R2.41, they install succesfully and all, and I have the Sound Effect Tab, though not Room Correction. I also have a another option in the Speakers Tab called Headphone Virtualization or something like that. But the weird problem is that with the older drivers, in Realtek HD Manager it says, Analog and beneath that, it says ''Mic in''. And I have my headphones plugged in, but the problem is that the sound is coming out from both the speakers and the headphones :S

And if I install the latest realtek driver(R2.70) the Dolby Tab will show in Speaker Properties, and in the Enhancement tab, there will only be an option called ''Disable all enhancements'' or something like that. Why is it when I install the R2.70 driver, and such options will show up? I'd like to have the realtek options.

and Btw, the codec for the original driver is ALC271X, but the older driver versions like R2.41 wil show it as ALC269.

And not to forget my laptop's specificiations...:

And sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong section, or if this text is too long to read, but thank you for your time
I'm waiting for replies, thank you. :)

The Dolby home theatre is a software enhancement to the RealTek. Many times in systems with software enhancements (there are several such as SoundBlaster MB, Beats Audio, etc) those programs provide any audio "enhancements".

RealTek drivers are customised by the PC vendor for their application. Generic sound chip drivers (e.g. RealTek) or RealTek drivers from another vendor may or may not work (install) and may or may not work properly after installation.

This is the notice that is posted on the RealTek site about their drivers:

Audio drivers available for download from the Realtek website are general drivers for our audio ICs, and may not offer the customizations made by your system/motherboard manufacturer. To be sure you obtain the full features/customizations provided in your original audio product, please download the latest drivers from your system/motherboard manufacturer's website

If you want a PC with all the RealTek bells and whistles I suggest you return this PC and buy one that has what you want.

Okay thanks alot! :D

I think I'm just gonna keep this PC, it's great. The Dolby Home Theater that came with it is great too, so it's not bad overall :)

But if there's any way in the future(which I doubt) to be able to install Realtek drivers and its options on Dolby Home Theater laptops, then please tell me.

Have a nice day and thank you for your help!
