Blue Screen Error but no actual blue screen pops up

While using my laptop, usually when trying to open some "windows" application such as task manager, wireless networks, documents, media player, windows updater etc. my laptop freezes or doesn't allow me to click on anything except the minus button on all my windows and the start button. I'll try to shut the laptop down, but it freezes once again on the logging off screen and I'm forced to manually shut it down by holding the power button. When I turn my laptop back on, I get the black screen that says windows shut down unexpectedly how would you like the start blah blah blah, and when I get my laptop turned on again, I get this error message:

After doing some searching online, it said that it was probably a compatibility issue, and I found that intel control center was incompatible (I'm not sure if that was the only program, I'm not great with computers and am not sure how to search through EVERY program), so I uninstalled it. I tried reinstalling it, but it simply wouldn't install and it wouldn't let me cancel and retry either, I had to turn my laptop off manually again. I haven't seen any additional problems occur from not having the control center, not sure how necessary the program is, but it definitely did NOT fix the problem.
Any idea what I could do??

Sorry here it is!

Please begin by running the following two commands:

SFC.EXE /SCANNOW
Go to Start and type in "cmd.exe" (without the quotes)
At the top of the search box, right click on the cmd.exe and select "Run as adminstrator"
In the black window that opens, type "SFC.EXE /SCANNOW" (without the quotes) and press Enter.
Let the program run and post back what it says when it's done.

the last command will ask you to reboot please do this.

After the first command It said "Windows resource protection did not find any integrity violations"
Running the second one now.

Okay, when restarting, a black screen popped up, some letters and numbers flashed quickly (i think I saw the word checking), and then it switched to my normal login screen.

OK did a little digging and found this in one of your dump files:

Looking at the time stamp on the driver we can see it is rather old:


so please update the driver from here: ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows (Atheros?????)

I'm not sure what on that website to actually download? There are quite a few links...

Please run the SF diagnostic tool again and select he button marked msinfo32 and upload the fil it spits out here and I can help further.

OK so it looks like your Dell wireless card is the one that is using an Atheros driver, so go here: Drivers & Downloads | Dell US and expand the network section of the page and download the driver I have circled in the attached:

It doesn't matter WHAT I do, I cannot get the driver to download.
It always gets stuck at the end of the download...

Have you tried downloading the installer ot another computer saving it to a flash drive, external hard drive, or cd and then transferring the removable media to your laptop and installing it from the removable media?

I was able to download the driver update. It hasn't happened often like it did before, but I have had one blue screen since and it's the same "9F" error.

Please run the SF tool again click grab all and let us have the new dump files so we can check if the driver has updated and see if theres any more info on your recent crashes
