All my computers are on the same network but each one can't see others

My netwok is seen in the attached jpg. I have a windows xp sp3 with wired internet.
I have 3 wifi laptops all able to connectto the internet 1 is windows 8 the other two are windows 7
When i open up my network and sharing center all i see is the one latop as seen in the other attached photo.
How do i get all computers on one wifi network so i can see all of them and share files between them?

If you had clicked on "public" rather than "home" when you were first connecting to the network you won't be able to see other devices.
What does is say it's set as?

theyre all set to home network and all have the same workgroup name

All of the PCs should have the same WORKGROUP name .

On the Windows 7 machine go into Control Panel \ All Control Panel Items \ Network and Sharing Center then click on Change advanced sharing settings.

You will want to verify the following settings under Advanced Sharing Settings for the Home or Work and Public profile.

:ar: Turn on Network Discovery

:ar: Turn on Files and Printer Sharing

:ar: Turn on sharing so everyone with network access can read and write files in the Public folder

If you want any user to have access the public shares turn off password protection. This is located in Advanced Sharing Settings toward the bottom of the list.

Add the User accounts name on the windows 7 machine and windows 8 machine that is on your XP machine

If your XP drive has enough space and meets the requirements for Windows 7, I'd suggest a dual boot. I found XP somewhat difficult to network along with Windows 7 and 8. I never took the time to get it working.

I have that problem I can't connect Windows XP to Windows 7.


Its always connected before now it stopped 4 months ago and I can't figure out why which is a pain in the backside.


I can't share files on 2 computer on my WiFi Network
