ISO mounting

I have just tried Daemon Tools and it tells me i'm on an unsupported platform and shuts off

What are you guys using for mounting ISO's?

I used ISO Recorder, but I had to burn it from within Vista as well.

I have seven installed I need something to mount my ISO's to virtual drives to load all my programs.

I have just installed Ultra Iso on W7 and it works fine, although it is x86 - no problems.

I installed VirtualCloneDrive, which I'd never heard of before this, and it installed and worked fine (after a reboot, which it didn't ask for).

Daemon tools installed fine on 32bit here :huh:

Try right-clicking the setup and using the compatibility tool and select "worked on previous version of windows" then select Vista and it will install without problems...Its saved me quite a few times now, especially when I had to install my Realtek NIC drivers

Tried setting the compatibility but it setup trys to install then requests a reboot over and over again.

It must be an x64 thing

Using power ISO now and it works a treat

It kept doing the reboot over and over again with me too and it was the 32bit so I don't think it's only 64bit.

Magic ISO Maker works just fine with the 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7. It's not free, but you can try it for free with it being fully functional.

UPDATE:
DO NOT INSTALL. It will not completely uninstall properly without editing the registry and removing all MagicISO entries found.

No....the app needs to mount the iso as a virtual DVD drive

In Vista, it creates a ISO image that it can burn as a bootable DVD. I can also use a ISO it creates as a virtual DVD drive with Virtual PC. Am I missing something again.

Yeah you're missing something.

Tools like daemon tools and alcohol create a virtual cd/dvd drive in the OS your using so you can mount ISO's directly.

You can create and mount VHDs within Build 6801 already from the Disk Management MMC snapin
