Hi Guys,
I apologise if I have placed this in the wrong thread.
I've had Windows 7 for three weeks now (as a student, Microsoft gave me access to the MSDN Academic Alliance which had Windows 7 available to download).
So far so good overall, however I was going to install a game but it required me to install DirectX and so I installed it and rebooted and now Windows 7 has reverted back to it's original state, just as if I'd have re-installed Windows 7. All programmes gone.
The weird thing is that I can still see most of the files for my programmes, but all executable files have been deleted and nothing appears in 'All Programs'.
I am running Windows 7 Professional (64-Bit) if this helps.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,
