Can't say I've ever had that issue. and my PC (while running the RC version, and the RTM / Retail has been up for 44 days or more at a shot)

I'm experiencing the same thing, and have no clue why. Usually changing the power plan then changing it back seems to work :sarc:

Welcome to the forum rOtsfactor,
Have you tried the troubleshooter in control panel?

I've only had this happen one time (Explorer showed a list of open windows instead of the small pictures of each window), and I was running an older program at the time. I wish I could remember what it was, but I can't. It seemed to me that having the older program running somehow messed with Aero (possibly through a DirectX conflict), because the Aero functionality returned to normal just as soon as I exited.

I found out my problem is with the foobar in particular the "show icon in taskbar" option

once i change that option, i no longer have this problem

Squall343, I believe it's a system wide bug. Somehow someway after sometime the aero previews stopped working, and DWM doesn't re-initialize the whole preview method. It should re-initialize the previewing even if you check "show icon in toolbar" in your foobar. For another instance, if somehow Aero composition got disabled by a legacy program, it should re-initialize no matter what.
