When I do a google, bing, etc search I get to choose sites, then it gets redirected to another site.
it all started when I wanted to download a kmp portable player ( i think )

thanks, I tried eset and it found nothing.
I googled via firefox and and found it may have been a hijack, I d/l HJ this and it would not run then said ( no permission ) I did a restore back to 10/31. all is well so far.

I'll be going back to my cloned drive from 10/3 in an hour. I've been playing with this HDD for a bit trying to do the win7 test for 30days and some other things like qttab ( would not work ) and tried some media players ( my fav is MPC )

I'm rambling, let me do the reclone.

Have you specifically tried malware bytes?

Malwarebytes.org

download the free version.

install it


go to the update tab and check for updates

go to the scanner tab and choose full scan

All fans PWM; speeds at idle: CPU circa 500 rpm; intake circa 600 rpm; exhaust circa 600 rpm; CPU temps 27 idle and 47 C load in a warm room (27 C/81 F) when running Intel Extreme Tuning Utility stress test.
I had the exact same thing happen to me. ComboFix solved it. Read this thread first, though.

Combofix should not be used unless you are being advised by a trained security advisor. It's a powerfull tool and it will cause a great deal of problems with your computer if you don't know what you're doing.

Also, it doesn't work with Windows 7.

your webbrowser is injected,so just update your anti-virus and have a total scan with your PC,i suggest u to do this in Safe Mode
